This song "Pray Before You Marry" was inspired by God. The amalgamation of the storylines, chorus, melodic and rhythmic patterns, accompaniment, choreography and drama was guided by divine inspiration and musical experience.

The statement, ‘To Marry a woman because of beauty is to buy a house because of paint’ is a figurative expression of ‘simile’ that compares getting married because of beauty to buying a house because of the attractive paints. This has been one of the statements of Daddy and Mummy G.O of MFM, Dr. D.K and Dr. (Mrs) Shade OLUKOYA in some of their messages on Marriage.

The storyline was developed by the composer (Dr. Joseph Olubukola. O). It captures three (3) categories of people who got  married based on certain wrong motives but seemed right to them. In the end, the marriages resulted in unresolved conflict and regret.

*Lessons to learn from the song* 

It is dangerous to: 

1. rush into marriage because of pressure from parents and other external influences.

2. get married only because of physical attraction of body shapes, complexion or height that is already conceived in the heart.

3. for a woman to give in to a man in marriage only because of his riches and ability to satisfy her financial needs.

The message of the song concludes that it is important to pray in order to know the will of God about whom to marry rather than making decision based on physical attraction and material things.
